Liu Liaoyuan, Travel to Foreign Country for Helping More Patients

      Pay effort to explore for continually progress

　　Liu Liaoyuan graduated from Hubei College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, is specialized in treating various tumors with combination of Traditional Chinese Medicine and western medicine. He has been working in tumor treatment for more than 20 years and having rich clinical experience especially in treating lung cancer and breast cancer. Now he works as chief consultant of Dhaka Office of Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou. As an oncologist, the biggest wish of doctor Liu is helping patients to relieve their pain and prolong their lives by using the most advanced technology and with minimal trauma.

　　Only with constant exploration, can one progress continually. Therefore, in spare time doctor Liu always looks up some materials related to the cases he met. Via constant practice and conclusion, doctor Liu has formed his own insight in treating tumors. He thinks combination of Chinese medicine and western medicine has better effect than single western medicine in treating tumors. If Chinese medicine can be properly adopted, it can benefit in lightening the side effect of western medicine, reducing the incidence of complications, prolonging patient’s lifespan and improving the quality of patient’s life.

　　In order to renew his medical knowledge and grasp the latest oncologic technology, doctor Liu actively participates in all kinds of seminars, for example, the Middle-South China Interventional Tumor Treatment Achievement Awards Presentation Ceremony and Symposium which is held in November 2010, Guangzhou. Doctor Liu said, during communication with other specialists in the same field, he can learn much experience and knowledge and then apply them in clinic.

　　Travel to foreign country for helping more patients

　　In 2005, doctor Liu was dispatched to Nigeria for South-South cooperation duce to his excellent English and exquisite skills. During working in Nigeria, he treated many rubber workers of local farm and Chinese agricultural technicians who jointed in the South-South cooperation. With medicines and supplies of acupuncture and moxibustion he brought, he relieved patients’ pain, moreover, let foreigners experience the magic of Chinese acupuncture and massage therapy.

　　In September 2012, doctor Liu was again dispatched to Bangladesh by Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou for working as medical consultant in Dhaka Office. It was a chance and challenge for doctor Liu. Doctor Liu is busier now after coming to Dhaka that he should receive numerous patients who come to counseling every day. Doctor Liu is always serious and meticulous to every patient. He carefully asks patient’s condition for every detail and patiently listens to patients. During consultation, doctor Liu will tell them some general knowledge about tumors such as how to keep reasonable diet and adjust mentality, etc thus to help local people to improve their anticancer awareness. It is doctor Liu’s sincerity and enthusiasm that makes him reliable and popular wherever he is.

　　All these years, doctor Liu feels fulfilled though working overseas is toilsome. As he said, wherever there is a need, he will be there regardless of country.
