On this morning, Lying in the unfamiliar operating table for the first time, Zhao Kangde looked at me with his pleading eyes. He said with his vague voice: “Doctor, help me, please! I want to stand up again”. Then his tears couldn’t help shedding on the white surgical drape. I dried his tears with gauze and held his hands: “Take it easy!” In fact, I made up my mind that I must help the boy stand up again.
