Lung Cancer Treatment

Lung cancer is one of the leading causes of cancer death among men and women. According to the World Health Organization, lung cancer is the most common cancer worldwide, accounting for 1.37 million deaths annually. Cancer accounted for 7.6 million deaths annually, or about 13 percent of the total worldwide deaths.

Having lung cancer is not the death penalty. Many lung cancer patients from the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia and other countries find their hope here and get a good improvement after taking minimally invasive treatment. Let us read their story:

NGHIEM THI THU: Her lung tumor has disappeared after taking minimally invasive treatment

When NGHIEM THI THU showed symptoms of chest tightness, difficulty in breathing, she never thought cancer cells were invading her body.

In October 2014, a bad news that she was diagnosed with lung cancer broke the peace of her life. She took conventional chemotherapy in Vietnam, but her condition did not get improved. Thus, she decided to try minimally invasive treatment in Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou. Here, her condition has improved and her tumor has disappeared after treatment.

WILLEM: His Lung Tumor has shrunk from 5cm to 2cm and now he lives a happy life as normal person

WILLEM from Netherland is also diagnosed with lung cancer. In Netherland, the local doctor advised surgery and conventional therapy but he did not want to suffer from the toxic side effects caused by conventional therapy so he decided to go to Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou.

He underwent cryotherapy, interventional therapy, natural therapy and combined therapy of traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine at here. After the treatment, his tumor has shrunk from 5cm to 2cm and his condition was effectively controlled.

At Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou, we customize your lung cancer case to deliver the most-advanced, least-invasive treatments with the fewest side effects. And because your peace of mind is of utmost important to us, our experts perform the latest cutting-edge technology and techniques to treat lung cancer, including:

Green Chemotherapy

Compared with conventional therapy, green chemotherapy is injecting the chemo drugs to the lung tumor directly via inteventional therapy. Thus, the drug concentration is higher and it will not bring a lot of harm to the healthy tissues.

Interventional therapy

Interventional therapy is performed under the guidance of medical imaging equipment. Medicines are injected into lung tumor and embolism is done to the lung tumor cutting its source of nourishment thus starving the tumor to death.

Cryotherapy is an ablation procedure, which makes use of ultra-low temperature. When the Argon gas is released through a needle point, the temperature of the tumor in the lung could reach -120°C to -165°C and freezing the tumor, meaning the tumor in lung is trapped in a starvation mode and extremely cold condition, no blood or oxygen supply, which can result in coagulation necrosis. When Helium gas is quickly released, this thaws the frozen lung tumor thus destroying it.

Microwave ablation

Microwave thermal-coagulation needles are inserted into lung tumor and the release of microwaves heat the cancer tissues resulting in irreversible necrosis.

Biological natural therapy

Cancer cells invade the body and destroy the immune system which causes the immune cells in patient’s body to be insufficient in fighting against the cancer cells’ development. Immunotherapy is done by injecting the cultured immune cells to patient’s body so that patient’s immune system is boosted to defend against cancer cells. Immunotherapy is effective to reduce the chance of lung cancer recurrence.

Photodynamic therapy/PDT

Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is a treatment that uses a drug, called a photosensitizer or photosensitizing agent, and a particular type of light. When photosensitizers are exposed to a specific wavelength of light, they produce a form of oxygen that kills cancer cells in the lung.

Combined therapy of TCM and western medicine

During the cancer treatment, minimally invasive technology can eliminate, kill and damage tumor steadily, precisely and aggressively with least harm to the body. Additionally, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) balances impaired health systematically to combat lung cancer, enhance immunity and improve health.
