Our Nurses, Our Future: Celebrating 5.12 International Nurse’s Day

May 12th, the international Nurse’s Day, which is a day to celebrate the contribution and devotion of nurses by the whole world. On this special day, St.Stamford Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou held a theme activity named “ Our nurses, our future” to show our respect and gratitude to all nurses.

At the beginning, the host of the party, director of Nursing Department Ms. Wang Junlan thanked the leaders of hospital for their support, help and care for nurses. Next, she showed gratitude to all nurses who were at the front and never fear any risks to guard patients’ life safety during the epidemic period of COVID-19. The team has been standing together through thick and thin for 3 years and we believe that tomorrow will be better.

Leaders of St.Stamford Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou participated the activity with all the medical staff, patients and their families together to share the happiness and joy of nurses. Leaders in attendance include President Mr. Wang Huaizhong, Director of Medical Department Ms. Yang Xin, Director of Infection Department Ms. He Fengyu, Director of Logistic Department Ms. Yi Qinghua and others.

Regardless of busy daily work, nurses of St.Stamford Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou actively and enthusiastically participate all kinds of contest to improve their nursing level. They represented the hospital to attend the “Video Contest of High-quality Nursing Service in Tianhe District” and “Comprehensive Practice Skills Contest of Channel Nursing”, receiving a second prize and third prize respectively as a result. President Wang Huaizhong, Director Ms. He Fengyu and Director Yi Qinghua gave awards to the prize-winners to admire their high-quality nursing skills and the quality of consistently improving their professional competence which represent the excellent style of medical staff in St.Stamford Modern Cancer Hospital.

 During the activity, our medical staff showed another side that is usually unknown, such as giving a nurse cosplay show and singing. It’s the duty of medical staff to provide professional nursing service and offer psychological and daily help and support to all patients. As a reward, the patients sang a song and presented beautiful flowers and tasty cakes to show their gratitude for nurses.

 In the end, Ms. Yu Qingcha, who was once as head nurse of Gynecology in St.Stamford Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou, presented cakes for the party. The party of International Nurse’s Day came to an end in a merry mood of sharing delicious food.

St.Stamford Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou extend enormous respect and appreciation to all nurses around the world! In the future, we’ll make progress together and consistently spare no efforts to ensure the health and happiness of all patients.
