Starting from May 2023, the Association established the “Belt and Road” Holistic Integrative Oncology Training Base of CACA in well-known hospitals in various regions of China, and on July 28, 2023, the sixth training base was successfully settled in St. Stamford Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou.
The “Belt and Road” Holistic Integrative Oncology Training Base will collaborate with the relevant countries to carry out work in the areas of talent training and cooperation and exchange, and promote the spread of China’s tumor prevention and treatment level to Southeast Asian countries, so as to benefit tumor patients in China and the “Belt and Road” countries.
- Talent cultivation and exchange
- The training base can cultivate more medical oncology professionals for Southeast Asian countries, which can help make up for the lack of local talents and improve the overall quality of the medical team. In addition, the exchange of talents can also promote the sharing of medical experience and cooperation between different countries.
- Promote effective prevention and treatment strategies
- CACA and St. Stamford Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou will share with Southeast Asian countries successful strategies and experiences in tumor prevention and treatment, including early diagnosis, health education, preventive measures, etc. This will help Southeast Asian countries to formulate more effective tumor prevention and treatment policies to reduce morbidity and mortality.

- The field of medical oncology requires continuous research and innovation to develop new treatments and drugs. The training base can provide opportunities for South-East Asian countries to participate in international collaborative research and promote the sharing of research results and the exchange of innovations.
