Statistics from American Cancer Society shows 5-year survival rate of different stages of lymphoma:
Stage I lymphoma: 90%,
Stage II lymphoma: 90%,
Stage III lymphoma: 80%,
Stage IV lymphoma: 65%.
From the data listed above, it can be concluded that early detection and treatment are the key factors to improve lymphoma patients’ survival rate. Only after knowing the stages of lymphoma can doctors make appropriate treatment plans and prognosis after treatment. How is lymphoma staged?

Stage III lymphoma: Cancer cells have proliferated to lymph node areas on both sides of the telophragma (III) or some cancer cells have proliferated to one organ or part beyond the lymph node (IIIE) or have proliferated to spleen (III S) or have proliferated to both (III SE).
Stage IV lymphoma: Cancer cells have spread to one or more organs or tissues beyond the lymph node with or without lymph node lesions.
